The zoo conducted the second-stage online voting for the six most representative groups of names. Among them, Tuanzai, Yuanniu, Yuanbao, Rourou, Pearl and Mazi are the most popular.
According to a comprehensive Taiwan media report, the zoo said that in the first stage of name collection, a total of 10,964 people participated and raised more than 1,700 names. Taiwan Zoo usually names the baby after the last word of the newborn animal’s mother’s name, and "Yuanzai" is a typical name. Most of the names participating in this submission are named after the "circle" series, for example, Yuan Bao, Yuan Niu, Dot, Dream, Yuan Meng and Yuan Xiaomei.
In addition to the word "round", there are "Rourou", which is nicknamed by nurses, and the food naming method preferred by Taiwan Province people. Even the people have not forgotten their father’s "Tuan Tuan". According to statistics, there are many manuscripts named after the word "Tuan".

Nurses said that in general, giant panda babies will open their eyes about 45 days after birth, while Yuanzai will open their eyes at the 42nd day of birth, while Yuanzai’s sister will only open her eyes at the 47th day. Nurses joked that it was actually Yuanzai’s sister who didn’t want to face the world so quickly.
The nurse said that Yuanzaimei is a cancer baby. She is sensitive to the environment and has her own emotions in the first month after birth. During this time, as long as Yuanzaimei makes a sound, her mother will leave delicious bamboo shoots and immediately return to the nursery to look after them.
