　　The reporter learned from the Lanzhou traffic police department that on the evening of the 3rd, a Liaoning semi-trailer hauling a tower crane traveled from south to north along the Lanhai Expressway, and after a 17-kilometer downhill section, it traveled to a place 50 meters away from the Lanzhou South Toll Station, and collided with vehicles waiting in line to pay the toll, causing a major road traffic accident. As of 5: 00 on the 4th, the accident has caused 15 deaths and 44 injuries, including 10 serious injuries. Car 31 was damaged. The driver was slightly injured. After the incident, he was immediately controlled by the public security organs and is currently under investigation. According to his own account, the vehicle was out of control due to continuous downhill and brake failure when the accident occurred.

　　After the accident, the relevant departments of public security, fire protection and medical treatment in Lanzhou rushed to the scene for rescue, and the main leaders of Gansu Province led the personnel of relevant departments of provinces and cities to rush to the scene to direct and deal with it. The Ministry of Public Security and the Emergency Management Department also formed a working group to rush to Lanzhou overnight.
