Li Yangjie, General Manager of Shenzhen Kaigao Modern Logistics Co., Ltd.:In the first quarter of this year, the number of customs declarations increased by 36% compared with last year, and then increased by 40% in April compared with March. The international logistics sector increased by 8% compared with the first quarter of last year, and then increased by 16% in April compared with March. Basically, as long as customers send me their requirements in advance, we can ensure the arrival of shipping space for them.
With the increase in the throughput of import and export goods, Shenzhen Customs has successively introduced measures such as "direct delivery upon arrival in Hong Kong" and "smooth flow plan at sea and airport" to enhance the convenience and efficiency of goods declaration to the sea.
Reporter: My current location is Yantian Port in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. What is going on behind me is the scene of the direct loading business in Hong Kong. The staff here told me that now enterprises only need to log in to I Shenzhen App "two-step application" to apply for the business of direct lifting and direct loading, shortening the transshipment time from 3 to 4 days to 1 hour.
It is understood that "direct loading in Hong Kong" means that the goods of an enterprise can be directly transported to the shore for shipment after they have arrived at the port and successfully entered the gate for release, without being stored overnight at the dock. Due to the improvement of customs clearance efficiency and the increase of large cabin space, the congestion phenomenon of "one cabin is hard to find" in Yantian Port has been alleviated.
Song Daning, Chief of Ship Supervision Section I of Dapeng Customs under Shenzhen Customs:Direct loading on arrival is a very close contact and cooperation involving shipping agents, freight forwarders, transportation, customs, dock operations and so on. From January to April this year, (business volume) increased sixfold compared with last year.
According to the latest data released by Shenzhen Customs, in April this year, the cargo import and export throughput of Yantian Port was 1.25 million TEUs, up 9.7% year-on-year and 26% compared with the average monthly level in the first quarter. The cargo import and export throughput of Shenzhen seaport in April was 2,557,300 TEUs, up 15% year-on-year and 18% quarter-on-quarter.
Jiang Ming, Chief Analyst of Guosen Securities Transportation:The growth rate of domestic (maritime) throughput in the second quarter (this year) is weaker than that in the previous quarter. Relatively speaking, because the ports in South China are relatively less affected by the epidemic, and some shippers have changed from East China (ports) to South China’s port exports, we think that the overall performance of ports in South China will be better than that in East China.
